Frequently Asked Questions
The first step is to set up an initial onsite consultation. This gives us a chance to meet with you, discuss your vision and timeline, take measurements, and address site-specific variables.
We will then put forth a design and budget based on our onsite meeting that will be finessed until it encompasses exactly what you want for the space.
We currently only schedule one project at a time. It is our goal to be wholly committed to each client from the start of demolition to the completed project.
Design fees are calculated on a project by project basis. We’ve had clients that come to us with a design in hand and utilize us to bring it to fruition. We’ve also had clients that relied on us for creating a truly bespoke space. We will work with you where you are.

Natural stone is a broad category encompassing many different types of stone. The ones we see most often today in bathrooms are quartzite, marble, granite and limestone. Each of these stones are produced by natural geological forces over incredible timescales. These forces are responsible for the composition, beauty and individuality of each stone. This process also determines how well each type of stone holds up in the different interior environments of your home and how much maintenance is required to keep your stone looking great.
Manufactured stone or engineered stone is also a broad category. These stones are a man made product designed to mimic natural stone in appearance while outperforming it in durability. Options like Quartz, Hanstone, Caesarstone, Cambria, Silestone and Icestone have all blended the beauty of natural stone with long term durability while maintaining a focus on being more environmentally friendly to produce.
We work with all of the major tile and flooring suppliers in the twin cities metro area as well as local boutique and artisan tile makers. We are always on the lookout for new suppliers and creative new materials we can incorporate.
There are many variables that can impact the design, budget and length of time required to deliver your dream bathroom.
Things like access to the bathroom within the home, the age of the home and condition of existing electrical, mechanical, and plumbing, stair width, parking, structural design, load paths, interior vs exterior walls etc., all make a difference.
One of the commonly overlooked variables that affects the length of a remodel is the lead time of the materials, which has largely increased since 2020. If you find a tile you love on pinterest, it is possible that the lead time is 4 months or more. In that case we will not begin a project until all materials are in hand. If you are on tight timeline, using local and in stock materials can mean a bathroom remodel finished in a few days.
